FIL 2018

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day. It’s been a while, but it’s summer and I’m back. So I wanted to tell you about the stuff I’ve been up to.

First, let’s talk about Festival International. I went there to introduce two bands, Ladama and Casa Samba, but of course I tasted the food also. Mom gave me $20 dollars and told me to see if I could “festival” with that amount. But the pin that helps keep festival free was $10, so I was left with $10 to get a drink and food. It was enough but I wanted to try more foods and I was hungry, so mom just paid for the other restaurants.

I ate paella from Pamplona, hummus from Poseidon’s, and fried shrimp with fries from Norbert’s. It all tasted great, but the paella rice was mushy. It was fun presenting at festival and being there with my mom and my sister, but I didn’t like that people smoked a lot, although they had signs that they weren’t supposed to smoke. I also saw drunk people sleeping on the sidewalk. That’s not nice. My bracelet for the drinks wouldn’t loosen up, so I had to cut it off and next day it was awkward to use it. Mom also said that the merchandise was very expensive, but the music was good and we had a great time.

Well that’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day and come back tomorrow for my next post on my talk at the Lafayette Public Library.
