Royal Curry

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day. I think everyone reading this knows about Masala, but what about Royal Curry? Royal Curry is located at 4510 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy Suite- J, Lafayette, LA 70508 and is my new Indian restaurant in town.

Their lemonade was bitter but I put some sugar and it tasted great. I had butter chicken, and garlic naan. My friend Rohan showed me how to eat naan with the butter chicken. You have to take a piece of the naan then fold it in half and scoop the sauce of the butter chicken and enjoy it.

The butter chicken was spicy but you can have mild. Oh my gosh that chicken was a chicken I haven’t had in a long time. The naan and the garlic bread together mixed gives you a great taste. I give this place a 4.5. That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day.

The Kritic Says:

  • 4.5 Starts
    • The place looks nice, very clean.
    • The service was quick and they had a card machine we could pay right there at the table.
    • The food was delicious.
    • No activities for kids.

A Note on K.O.K Wings & Things

Hello ladies and gentleman, few days ago I went back to K. OK with my mom to get some of that delicious food. I was so disappointed and a bit disgusted with what I saw. The floor was dirty and sticky. Tables were not clean, and they had so many waitresses just standing and talking. Don’t get me wrong, the food tasted great, but while we were waiting to get our food and go, it did not feel good at all to be there.

So, ladies and gentleman, my rating of K. Okay goes down to a 2.5 starts.

The Kritic re-says:

  • 2.5 starts
    • Food was great
    • Prices were good
    • The place was not as clean as a restaurant should be. My shoes kept sticking on the floor and they had ketchup stains and many tables were dirty
    • Service was so slow, we had to wait so long to order because the waitresses were talking to each other and checking their hair.

K.O.K Wings & Things

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day!

So I went to a place called K.O.K Wings & Things. Let me just say this, it was so good,  I ate everything on their menu, the shrimp, the fish, the chicken, the fries, and okay kay kay their crawfish too. You can tell already I had the biggest belly there. No kidding I looked like I was pregnant. In the pictures I sucked my belly in.

Everything was fried and I like every single one of them. The spices were outstanding but some people may not like it, but I like spicy so I say try it. Their fries had ranch and barbecue on them. Surprisingly It was tasty.

But then there was the one and only watering, juicy, addicting … CRAWFISH. They have a little small stand outside called K.O.K. Crawfish & Things. They don’t have mild or medium, they have spicy crawfish but it was so so so good. The corn… the corn…I dare you to eat it and the potatoes. I give this place a spicy 5.0. That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day and go check K. O. K right by UL Lafayette on 405 E University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70503.

The Kritic says:

  • 5 starts
    • The place has a simple and cool decoration.
    • You must order and pick up at the counter.

Farmers Market

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day.  I’m having a blast because there is no school Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and yes I have no school for a week. So it’s time to enjoy and check out new places. Today I went to LFAM? What is that? Lafayette Farmers & Artisans Market. It’s located at 2913 Johnston Street, Lafayette, LA 70506.

There is a lot of stuff at the Farmers Market, but this week Chef Bourque’s Beignets caught my attention. Those beignets were delicious. They melted in my mouth and as expected the sugar flew around, so guys you must try it. That’s a 4.5 starts right there!!!

To match my yummy beignets I drank a frozen lavender lemonade from Magnolia Moon. Yes, you read it well. Lavender lemonade. And guess what? It tasted good. I suggest you try it. But do not, I repeat do not get the frozen chai coffee. That tasted worse than boiled carrots, broccoli, and dirt mixed together. The frozen lavender lemonade however, deserves 3.5 starts. My sister even ate the flowers used for the decoration.

So, if you are looking for something to do on a Saturday morning, want to try new things, and support local farmers and artisans, make sure to check LFAM, you won’t be disappointed. You can run, play around, pet dogs, eat, listen to music…I always like going there.

That’s that ladies and gents, have a good one, enjoy your weekend and stay tuned, more post coming soon.

Pedro’s With My Bro

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day. By the title you can tell that I went to Pedros with my friend. Pedros is a new restaurant located at 3323 Ambassador Caffery, Lafayette, LA 70506.

When I arrived it was a nice place and the art was cool. I asked for a lemonade and an enchilada with a lot of cheese. It didn’t take them that long to give us our meal. They enchilada came with rice and beans. When I took the bite of that enchilada I thought my taste buds exploded with deliciousness. The enchilada had a good taste with the cheese. The beans were good but I liked it the most because of the cheese inside. The rice was okay it was good but normal for me.

I gave Pedro’s a 4.5 only because of the rice. That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day.

The Kritic says:

  • 4.5 Starts
    • Service was quick
    • Prices were affordable
    • The food was delicious
    • They had activities for kids
    • The decoration was cool and the place was very clean.

Hawaiian Taste in Lafayette

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day. I have gone to a very intriguing place called Poké Geaux. It is located at 2668 Johnston St Suite C4, Lafayette, LA 70503.

When I walked in they had many things. It was very clean. They had three things to chose from, a poké bowl, poké roll, and a poké salad. I got a poké roll. They set it up by having a green thing and then putting seaweed on top of and then adding what you like. I picked my ingredients. I got tofu, fried shrimp, edamame, cream cheese (which I don’t recommend because its kind of heavy but do you), sushi rice, hot mayo sauce, and rice puffs. He then got the green thing and rolled it to make it like a burrito, like a sushi burrito. Mom got the bowl and she selected the ingredients also.

The employees were very nice. When I sat down I took a big bite. The seaweed gave it a crunchy flavor and so did the rice puffs and the shrimp. The edamame was also good, but not as much. I give Poké Geaux a 4.5 guys, it was outstanding.

That’s that ladies and gentlemen hope you you have a great day.

The Kritic Says:

  • 4.5 Starts

Light-ening Food

Hello ladies and gents hope you are having a great day. Today I want to talk about one of my favorite places in Lafayette, Louisiana – Zeus. I go there so many times that I can’t believe I did not talk about them here.

So I went to Zeus, they have many locations, but I like the one on Johnston Street because you are in and out and the people are very nice. As usual, I got hummus and then chicken shawarma. For my drink I got lemonade. The hummus sometimes has too much oil but I always like the chicken shawarma.

Sometimes I also get the chicken tenders, they are crunchy just the way I like it. My mom always gets tabouli and chicken or lamb kebab. She also likes baklava and tiramisu, but I stick with the hummus and the chicken sawarma.

This is it ladies and gents, I give Zeus 4 starts in my 📚📖, well happy holidays.

The Kritic says:

  • 4 Starts
    • The food tastes good, but sometimes is too oily.
    • The location on Johnston doesn’t have activities for kids, but the other locations have, and they are very nice to kids.
    • I like the decorations and I also like the service.
    • The prices are good.
