Is That an Avocado?

Hello ladies and gentlemen Hope you’re having a good day, let’s get right into today’s blog. I went to La Pagua located at 5425 Johnston St, Lafayette, LA 70503.

I had a cheese enchilada and a burger. First they gave us salsa chips, those chips were so hard that it could mess up your mouth. But the enchilada was actually not that bad I can’t say much on it because to me it was really basic, plenty of cheese, sauce, and meat. The burger was basic also. So really I would give it a 3.5 starts, but my mom gave me some of her fajita steak, chicken and shrimp and it hit the spot. That’s a must try. That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day.

The Kritic says:

  • 3.9 starts
    • The place looks nice
    • It was a very busy night and service was slow
    • The food tasted okay
    • They have activities for kids and they also had a live band, but it was too loud inside

Back 2 Back

Hello Ladies and Gents,

Here is a question for you:  If the food is good, how many times should you go back to that spot? As many times as you feel like. So I went back to the Petroleum Club of Lafayette. As usual, the service was exceptional. The people are so nice. The food is so good. They have music. I love that place.

There are new spots in town that I want to check out. But I have to wait for mom to be done with school and work. Until then enjoy and go check out the Petroleum Club of Lafayette. Here is a video Badar Alhamdani with BiaCreates did. We had so much fun, but I’m just getting used to the video thing so cut me some slack. Enjoy it!

Thank you Ms. Rachel for the invite and Mr. Badar for shooting and editing the video.

Let me give you a little look behind the scenes:

My sister was making noise in the background with Ms. Rachel. But I still love her. Make sure to also check her You Tube channel, Beauty & Mimi. She is following my footsteps. Lol

Make sure to watch the video. Let me know if you liked it and go by the Petroleum Club. That’s that ladies and gents, they maintained the 4.9 starts.

Illegal To Be So Delicious

Hello ladies and gents hope you are having a great day. So, some people (my friends at school) wanted me to share my opinion about Izzo’s Illegal Burrito. Lafayette has two locations, one on Ambassador and another on Johnston street. The one on 2010 Johnston St, Lafayette, LA 70503 is my spot. I love this restaurant and can’t have enough of it. It’s perfect for a quick delicious and still healthy bite. I always get a chicken quesadilla, chips and queso, and a lemonade. They take their time, but the cheese is melted, the chicken cut the way I like and well cooked but not burned. The queso sauce is also delicious with the chips not too thin or thick, just perfect. On Mondays they have activities for kids and adults can choose what they want in their burritos. I really like this place and how they ask me, not my mom, what I want, how I want it, and take their time to explain the stuff to me. For this and the whole atmosphere of the place, Izzo’s Illegal Burrito gets a 5 starts, is just that good.

The Kritic Says:

  • 5 Starts
    • This is a very laid back and fun spot to bring your kids. I love when Mom says we can go there.
    • The food is fast, but is still healthy. It all depends on you.
    • The prices are good. The service is great.
    • They have activities for kids, special prices for kids and a great menu for kids.
    • The place is clean and the decoration is cool, kinda like a sports place.

Chipotle

Hello ladies and gents, hope you are having a great day. So, this review is about Chipotle Mexican Grill located at 4231 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy #101, Lafayette, LA 70508. The place looked really neat. I had been there before, for one of the rewards for the Public Library Summer Reading Program, but I went back for my research of the best quesadilla in Lafayette, LA. I love quesadillas, and the seasoning of Chipotle’s chicken quesadillas was good but the chips that came with the children’s menu were too thin. The black beans were not that great either, it tasted like red beans and the seasoning of the rice was tasteless. They got 3.5 starts and that’s that ladies and gents.

The Kritic Says:

  • 3 1/2 Starts
    • The place was clean and the decoration was simple and straight to the point
    • Their quesadilla tasted good, but everything else didn’t
    • They were nice and patient explaining the menu
    • The prices were okay

Namaste and Namaskar to Masala

Ladies and gent, you hear so many things about Indian food, that it is spicy, that it smells, that it doesn’t look good. How about you hear this: it is delicious! I’ve been eating my Mom’s curry for years, and Mom I’m sorry but your curry is not even close to Masala’s food (I love you Mom but their food was great). Masala is located at 2208 Kaliste Saloom Rd, Lafayette, LA 70508 and we went there for my friend Rohan’s birthday and kept going back over and over. You should try it, if you don’t like it, they also have grilled cheese, chicken tenders and corn dogs. Mom ordered chicken and shrimp korma with garlic naan, my sister and I tasted it and loved it. I tried butter chicken, cheesecake and a mousse dessert. Ladies and gents, they get a 5. Yep! That’s that ladies and gents, have a great week.

The Kritic Says:

  • 5 Starts
    • The food was very delicious
    • The service was great, we were many but the waiter was great
    • The prices were good
    • The place was clean and had entertainment for kids
    • The owner sometimes comes out and asks us how everything tastes. I like that. It shows that he cares.

Dragos, Lafayette’s Seafood Home

Hello ladies and gents,

Long time no read. I am all caught up and ready to start letting you know where I’ve been, seen, and what I’ve tasted. Let’s start with the new spot in Lafayette, Louisiana. Located at 3151 Johnston Street, Dragos blindsides you from the outside and the inside. I was amazed at how clean, quick, and fun this place was. I ordered a lemonade, Lobster Mac & Cheese, and Fried Gator Bites. It was my first time tasting alligator and it was delicious; tasted like chicken, but a little bit thicker. Mom had Lobster Marco, and my sister had Chicken Tenders with Fries. They are the kings of seafood, but guess what? If you don’t feel like eating seafood, they also have Red Beans and Rice, Jambalaya, and other meat dishes. For their excellent service, tasty variety of food, and different atmosphere, I give Dragos 4.5 starts. The food was expensive but you got to pay for good food and that’s that ladies and gents have a great day.

  • The Kritic says:
    • 4 ½ starts
    • Incredible food and service.
    • Kids are welcome but no kids coloring sheet; but, the kid’s menu is great.
    • The place is very clean and the atmosphere is nice.
    • The prices are high, but much worthy.
