Panda Express

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day. Me and my friend went out to eat at a glorious place… Panda Express. That’s located at 4531 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy, Lafayette, LA 70508 and it is delicious! You can pick what you want so I ate a bunch of chicken. I absolutely loved them all, but some were full of onions and the onions in the noodles overpowers it. But hey, the chicken was so good I wanted more. I give this place 4.0 starts, it is quick and it hits the spot. That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day.

The Kritic Says:

  • 4.0 Starts
    • Clean and nice buffet set up
    • The food is delicious
    • The prices are affordable

Papa Loca

Hello ladies and gentlemen. Hope you are having a great day. I went to a place called La Papa Loca. It is a very small place but clean, it stays on 3701 Cameron St, Lafayette, LA 70506. Here is the thing, they could fix their parking space, but until then let’s focus on the food.

Best tacos I ate in town. You read it right. Best tacos in Lafayette, Louisiana. I got quesadillas that were different than all the others I’ve eaten, and I also got a beef taco. The quesadilla had shredded chicken and of course melted cheese but, the chicken overtook the cheese though. The quesadilla tortilla was way better than the tortilla of the beef taco. But guys, the meat of the beef taco was something else. The beef of the taco was outstanding it was perfect I suggest you put lime on the beef, but the tortilla could have been better.

What made me so happy was they had passion fruit juice. I give this place a 3.0. That’s that ladies and gentlemen hope you have a great day.

The Kritic Says:

  • 3.0 Starts
    • The place is very small and when is packed is not very comfortable, take the food to go.
    • The food is delicious.
    • Service takes time.
    • They don’t have any activities for kids.
    • Did I mentioned that the food is good? Those tacos!!!!!

Royal Curry

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day. I think everyone reading this knows about Masala, but what about Royal Curry? Royal Curry is located at 4510 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy Suite- J, Lafayette, LA 70508 and is my new Indian restaurant in town.

Their lemonade was bitter but I put some sugar and it tasted great. I had butter chicken, and garlic naan. My friend Rohan showed me how to eat naan with the butter chicken. You have to take a piece of the naan then fold it in half and scoop the sauce of the butter chicken and enjoy it.

The butter chicken was spicy but you can have mild. Oh my gosh that chicken was a chicken I haven’t had in a long time. The naan and the garlic bread together mixed gives you a great taste. I give this place a 4.5. That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day.

The Kritic Says:

  • 4.5 Starts
    • The place looks nice, very clean.
    • The service was quick and they had a card machine we could pay right there at the table.
    • The food was delicious.
    • No activities for kids.

Mother’s Day

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great weekend. Mother’s Day is tomorrow , and I thought of doing this. The top five places I’d bring my mom to go eat.

Number five: I think I would bring her to Blu Basil it’s a nice place, the food is good… for her.

Number four: I’d say Olde Tyme Grocery because that was her go to place on her freshman year in school. It was a good place and then in a few more years she became my mom, but the food she says is still good.

Number three I would bring her to La Madeleine for breakfast. I think this because the food there is wonderful. I’m serious, it’s a nice place to go to.

Number two goes to Portugal I know it’s not in Louisiana or America but still that was where majority her life has been.

Number one goes to Patacón. I say this because the food is wonderful my mom likes it too. Okay, I like it more than she likes, but you get the point.

But to be honest, it would be better if it it was out the country.  But since it can’t be out of the country, we will try some international cuisine in Lafayette. Why don’t you do the same? Try something new with your mom and show her love not just tomorrow but everyday.

That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great Mother’s Day.  Let me know in the comments where you are planning to bring your mom to.

A Note on K.O.K Wings & Things

Hello ladies and gentleman, few days ago I went back to K. OK with my mom to get some of that delicious food. I was so disappointed and a bit disgusted with what I saw. The floor was dirty and sticky. Tables were not clean, and they had so many waitresses just standing and talking. Don’t get me wrong, the food tasted great, but while we were waiting to get our food and go, it did not feel good at all to be there.

So, ladies and gentleman, my rating of K. Okay goes down to a 2.5 starts.

The Kritic re-says:

  • 2.5 starts
    • Food was great
    • Prices were good
    • The place was not as clean as a restaurant should be. My shoes kept sticking on the floor and they had ketchup stains and many tables were dirty
    • Service was so slow, we had to wait so long to order because the waitresses were talking to each other and checking their hair.

K.O.K Wings & Things

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day!

So I went to a place called K.O.K Wings & Things. Let me just say this, it was so good,  I ate everything on their menu, the shrimp, the fish, the chicken, the fries, and okay kay kay their crawfish too. You can tell already I had the biggest belly there. No kidding I looked like I was pregnant. In the pictures I sucked my belly in.

Everything was fried and I like every single one of them. The spices were outstanding but some people may not like it, but I like spicy so I say try it. Their fries had ranch and barbecue on them. Surprisingly It was tasty.

But then there was the one and only watering, juicy, addicting … CRAWFISH. They have a little small stand outside called K.O.K. Crawfish & Things. They don’t have mild or medium, they have spicy crawfish but it was so so so good. The corn… the corn…I dare you to eat it and the potatoes. I give this place a spicy 5.0. That’s that ladies and gentlemen have a great day and go check K. O. K right by UL Lafayette on 405 E University Ave, Lafayette, LA 70503.

The Kritic says:

  • 5 starts
    • The place has a simple and cool decoration.
    • You must order and pick up at the counter.
    • No activities for kids, but they have TVs and a very laid back atmosphere.
    • The menu is unique and the food and drinks taste great.
    • Did I say the food tastes good? Let me say it again, okay kay kay? The food is delicious.

A Taste Of Laos

Hello ladies and gentlemen hope you are having a great day. I’m having an ok day. School starts tomorrow, so I’m not very happy. But let’s talk about food. This past weekend as I told you I went to the Lao New Year Celebration and it was nice.

I met monks, got blessed, ate plantains, beef jerky and beef on a stick, heard music, visited the temple, and had a lot of fun.

The temple was beautiful. The monk we met explained so much about their habits, why they throw water on the statues, why they play the drum, or why they don’t eat after 12PM. Such an interesting culture.

The beef jerky had a different taste, I didn’t like it but my sister liked it, although she didn’t like the snow ball. The snow balls had different tastes and different things on it. The beef stick had a bit of fat on it but the seasoning was good.

They had chicken feet and other foods to taste, but I got full and didn’t try it. But overall, because it gave me an idea of the Laotian culture, I give the Lao New Year Festival 3.5 Starts. That’s that ladies and gentlemen. Have a great day and don’t forget to go out and try new food and new places.
